Hand tools for creative bookbinding

Our various types of bookbinding tools are often used with stitching wire or thread for creative bookbinding.

Paper-cutter

A paper-cutter is a polished piece of bone used as a bookbinding tool. It is a tool for folding paper by hand. You press down harder on the paper when using a paper-cutter. You then smooth down the paper without causing blemishes or smudges.

Scalpel

A scalpel or scalpel knife is used for creative bookbinding. Use it to cut through paper or cardboard easily.

Paper counter

A paper counter is a hand tool used to cut off stacks of paper. Paper counters are especially used in the graphic world, for example in printing works.

Thimbles

A thimble is a hand tool which is often used by bookbinders. These thimbles enable you to leaf through books or a pile of documents easily and hygienically. They are also perfect for counting tickets or paper.
