Your book quickly starts to get worn out from being read a lot. Of course, you want to avoid this. Use gauze and shirting to reduce wear-and-tear.
Gauze is applied as a gauze band, also known as shirting or bookbinding gauze. This is used to reinforce the back of a book. It is created by taking into account the high folding strength, tear strength and tensile strength.
The great advantage of gauze band is that it provides extra reinforcement, it is available in many different types, and you also have the choice between laminated gauze and 1- or 3-thread gauze. Gauze band is also highly suitable as a spine material for large sample books.
